Customer Review: Better than Doom?

I will begin by saying that Doom is my very favorite fps game of all time, period. So, given that I prefer the original Doom over Duke Nukem 3d on the PC, I was highly skeptical of anyone who claimed that Duke Nukem Advance is better than Doom advance. However, it is, for one very good reason: It was designed for it. The Doom and Doom II ports for the GBA were both excellent, but since you could only save at the beginning of each level, the game could get frustratingly difficult later on (especially Doom II). Duke Nukem, however, since it was designed specifically for the GBA, has short, yet challenging levels that prevent you from dying ten minutes into a level and having to start back over again. Also, the environments are better suited to the smaller screen, which prevents needless frustrations. For these reasons, Duke Nukem is the best first person shooter you will find for the Game Boy Advance.

Environments include the Temple of Amun in Egypt, complete with hieroglyphs on the walls, columns, and sliding stone brick doors.
