This is not the origanal Space Invaders I remember from the arcade. It's more like a 3D Galaxian. It was hard for me to get over the differences. That said, my daughter really liked it with the exeption of "all the reading bits you have to 'A' through to get to the game part". It is a bit much to click through every time....
If you haven't grown up with the origanal, you won't notice the difference and will most likely enjoy the game. It is a good challenge if you like shooting games.
Description of Space Invaders
This is not your father's Space Invaders. These 3-D alien troops now come with enhanced firepower, special effects, and even a two-player mode (Game Link cable required). The game offers 100 levels of basic dodge-and-shoot gameplay, which now takes place in interstellar locales. Your new arsenal includes an infrared laser beam, flamethrowers, and a neutron blast, plus bonus power-ups and special weapons unique to each world.
