Video Game Reviews of Breath of Fire

Customer Review: Slight higher than average
Summary: 4 Stars

Breath of fire has relatively good graphics [average].
This game has a neat story line and a stunning and tensifying intro movie, a rather long one to be exact, the problem is that you have to wait through the long, starting and stopping music (this can get a lttle tedious).
Overall, because of the decent music and story line, I give breath of fire 4 stars [out of 5]

Customer Review: A Good Purchase

Firstly, CAPCOM knows how to make Role Playing Games (RPG)
A good cast of characters, a good storyline, and challenging gameplay.
Not only does your main character,Ryu, grow in strength as you travel alongside him, but he meets other characters whom you can have join you, and enjoy each of their unique skills:
Ryu can fish, and the fish he catches can be used to heal, cure and others.
Bo can hunt, catching Deer or Wild boars,
Ox can knock down walls and smash coconuts from trees.
Twists in the storyline have you searching for a volcano under the sea, entering someone's dreams to rescue them, and searching for cracks in the wall...to find a master thief...
The replay value is astounding, and even though I cleared the game, I was still left longing for more.
The graphics are awesome, the sound is awesome, and a new challenge is that you can only have four characters in the frontlines of your party at a time...
And parents, this game is safe for kids...cartoon graphics and no realistic violence make this a winner, although the ability to read is required.
Because of games like this, I always buy capcom RPGs

Customer Review: "Advance" into this great game!
Summary: 5 Stars

If you've played any of the Breath of Fire series, then you're familiar with the excellent musical score, the intriguing plot, and the interesting characters.

If you haven't, you should give it a try--it's one of the higher ranking RPG series out there.

Although Breath of Fire isn't as great as some of the later games in the series, this is the game that started it all...and it was originally released for the SNES!

I think it's great to be playing old SNES games anywhere. And GBA doesn't distort the graphics at all; in fact, the LCD display has wonderful resolution, perhaps better than that of the SNES on a color television. The only downside is the difficulty to properly light the screen without glare, yet this is not a Breath of Fire problem, it's a GBA problem.

I must highly recommend this excellent game to all; if you're an RPG fan, or a BOF fan, then you MUST get this game!

It's also a great "starter" RPG, as it's not too difficult, but still can be challenging. The puzzles can sometimes require a bit of thought, but the interface is fairly easy to use.

So Advance into this awesome game soon!

Customer Review: A really fun game but it has got flaw's
Summary: 4 Stars

I was looking forward to Golden Sun so much, but here in Sweden it's not coming untill March. Well, to have something to do untill Golden Sun is relesed I bought Breath Of Fire. It has a pretty good storyline but I was told that the graphics were going to be superb, they were only half as good as I was expecting them to be. In battles you see your party from behind and I have to say that in battles the graphics are indeed very nice but when you go around in the world it's not half as good graphics as in the battles. The game has very good control and one thing I'm glad to see is the dash button. The game is very big and if your looking for an rpg that lasts for long this is the game for you!!!

Customer Review: Breath of Fire
Summary: 5 Stars

My first recollection of Breath of fire came with Breath of Fire 2 for the SNES. While I admit, it was an awesome game in its own right. I was anxious to round up the original for it. But, alas, I wasn't able to. Now, with the Gameboy Advance, I finally get the chance to check out the Classic. So, what can I tell you about Breath of Fire for the Gameboy Advance....Well, it's been an absolute blast to play. I hadn't been able to put it down since I got it for Christmas. I've even brought it to work with me a time or two to play. Graphically, it's very colorful and animated. There's alot of exploration, and things to do in the game. Hundreds of spells to do battle with and battles galore. You can even exchange items with your GBA link cable. For a classic RPG, I highly recommend it to all.
Given it's not Final Fantasy but it's just as good. If not better in some respects. It's definately worth the price of admission.
Do yourself a favor and check it out.
