For YEARS I've heard the stories how this game is supposed to be the hardest, most frustrating game ever made. Does it live up to the hype? Yes, and it delivers in enjoyable gameplay as well.
It's not a forgotten masterpiece or anything (any game that has a difficulty THIS extremely high makes it very hard to call it a classic) but for a challenge that's guaranteed to satisfy anyone who dares to accept it, it's a quality game. If anything, Super Ghouls and Ghosts gives us a look back when Super NES games were short and sweet... oh I'm sorry, Game Boy Advance games.
Description of Super Ghouls'n Ghosts
Only as Arthur can you get her back from the creatures of the undead that haunt the land. Test your courage and skill to the limit. You must keep up the quest. On your journey, your mightiest weapon of all awaits you magic!The release of Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts marks the return of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) classic to the Game Boy Advance. The game features classic 2-D side-scrolling action and all of the gameplay elements of the original. It also includes newly designed enemies and stages.
The quest begins as a spell has been cast upon Arthur's kingdom and the evil emperor has snatched Arthur's fair maiden, Princess Prin Prin. Only Arthur can retrieve her from the creatures of the undead that haunt the land. The new Arrange mode allows players to choose the next stage of the game at the end of each level. This adds more replay value to the game and allows those who have played the original version to play new stages. The game also includes popular enemies from the original Ghosts 'n' Goblins and Super Ghosts 'n' Goblins.
