Video Game Reviews of Super Puzzle Fighter II

Customer Review: A very addictive GBA puzzle game.
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm not a huge fan of the puzzle genre, but I decided to give this one a try. I've never played any of the previous incarnations of this game, but this one is very enjoyable. It does have a few bugs, but I barely noticed them. I haven't tried multi-player yet, but I'm already having a lot of fun with the single-player, so...

Of course, the fact that I really enjoy this game must mean I'm a 'Capcom stooge.' (Referring to another review posted here)

Customer Review: A fine game
Summary: 4 Stars

Granted, it's a tough call between "Super Puzzle Fighter II" and its predecessor's GBA incarnation, "Puyo Pop." But I'll take Chun Li kicking at Ryu while I hurry to connect color-coded gems any day of the week. The sound is terrific, the graphics are blocky but gorgeous, and the gameplay is out of this world. Two cartridge "versus" mode is outlandish fun. Seeing little gems crash and explode somehow gives me such a sense of satisfaction, even when I'm losing.

Customer Review: This is the Greatest Puzzle Game Ever!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the best Puzzle game I have ever Played. It's very fun and has great replay value, unlockables will keep you playing for hours ( Pictures, Extra Characters, and songs) Great game to buy new or used it'll probably be hard to find used so get it new.

Customer Review: Best puzzle game out today!!!!!!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Puzzle games just don't get more frantic, addictive, or competitve than the jewel-matching, chain-planning, anxiety-producing, friendship-weakining (beileve me I should know) bliss
of SPF2T. If your not familiar with the PS1 cult classic, it works like this: Two players choose a character (big-head versions of SF and Darkstalkers characters) and proceed to "fight" by lining up colored gems and trying to set off elaborate chains that drop tons of unwanted gems in your opponents area. These "counter gems" have little digital timers that count down slowly before they can be cleared, which can be a pain or a pleasure... if you play your own gems right. The colorful graphics, Capcom-tight control, and just-fine sounds have been faithfully reproduced from the PS original, right down to the weird animated nonsense that goes on in the background as your fighters duke it out, though the GBA vesion struggles with slowdown near the end, which isn't a bad thing , really, since it gives you ample time to think. While it's definitely meant to be linked up and played as a 2-player game, the single player A.I. can be downright ingenous sometimes. SPF2T is a n addictive puzzler as it has ever been wrought, even if the marriage of Chun-Li and jewel-dropping doesn't make a lick of sense.

Customer Review: THIS IS GOING TO ROCK!
Summary: 5 Stars

This game is the most addicting game ever created. Gets kind of boring in 1 player mode, but makes up for everything in multiplayer. This game is the most fun you will have with another person. I own the game for the PSX (Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo), This is just a port of that game. This is a must have for all Game Boy advance owners and the reason to buy the system, even If you are not a puzzle game fan. I would give this game 6 stars if i could. YOU MUST GET THIS GAME. You won't be disappointed.
