Video Game Reviews of Game Boy Advance SP, OnyxCustomer Review: Stellar system, with a few drawbacks. Summary: 4 StarsThis system is, just like its counterpart, awesome, and handy to keep oneself entertained while traveling. But, mine broke after being dropped from a height of 5 feet. The LCD screen cracked. This broke my heart. This system is not as durable as Nintendo and others would have you believe. But, be that as it may, a great improvement on an already great system.
Customer Review: this is worth the extra money Summary: 5 Starsheres in canada its $150 and i have absolutley no regrets about buying it, it has a huge game selection and i think just the back lit screen is worth the extra money... go buy one right now it is so worth it even if you don't travel or stuff like that, and after a while the price of buying batteries would equal up to the extra money, scratches or also a huge turn off of the first gba so this has everything plus the clam shell design has a very cool look to it like your rich or soemthing like that. over all i give it out of 5 ten it is worth even more then what there charging!
Customer Review: Amazing Summary: 5 StarsBack light makes such a huge difference, as does battery. I got mine about 6 or 7 months ago, play it heavily and always with backlight on, and have never even seen the power indicator go down bellow the green light. Small size is not a problem, and realistically neither is the lack of headphones. I find the shoulder buttons very comfortable and easy to hit. The backlite makes games much better. I love THPS and was so excited when it came out on GBA only a little disapointed because it was hard to see in the darker levels. Once I got the GBASP I plopped in THPS and was amazed. Also, the screen cover makes such a huge difference. I had to replace my screen on the GBA and then worried about it getting dents, cracks, and scratches ever since.
Customer Review: If you want the best for playing anywhere, buy this one! Summary: 5 StarsI first had the original Gameboy Advance, it was great, with incredible graphics, great sound and amazing games, but it has one big problem... you couldn't play it without a good ilumination, that was a big problem because in the night you should sit down right bellow a lamp to play, but all that is gone now, with the new integrated screen light in the Gameboy Advance SP you can play virtually anywhere, even if in total darkness, but that's not all, this gameboy is small and easy to carry in your pocket, plus the screen is protected to scratches because it's not exposed until you open it; other great thing is the rechargable battery, it gives you about 13 hours of playing with only 3 hours of charging!, so, if you are searching for the best for playing anywhere but this, and remember that there are thousands of games out there, some of then incredible!.
Customer Review: NINTENDO COMES THROUGH ONCE AGAIN Summary: 4 StarsI just bought an Onyx SP and a Mario Bros. 3 game yesterday at my local KBToys, and I must say I'm impressed. Many companies have tried to make handhelds before (I hear even Playstation is coming out with one -- jeez), but Nintendo is the only company that is preffered by ACTUAL GAMERS. I mean, sure I'm pretty upset about my old GBA gathering dust somewhere in my personal junkyard, but the GBA really was quite a problem. I mean, after only a week the screen was cracked and smuged, and once it was night out I couldn't see what I was doing. I tried to fix this by buying a Pelican Light/Shield, but the thing kept falling off and leaving a blue tint on my screen. But just when I thought I had lost, here it is -- the SP!!!!PROS: Sidelit screen that completly illuminates your gameplay Clamshell design folds-down, making less annoying, horrible looking scratches on your screen Rechargable battery saves money on buying batteries Cool design and colors (Especially Onyx) CONS: Screen collects dust quickly for some reason No headphone jack (which isn't really a problem since the stereo sound of the SP is phenominal) Smaller L-R buttons RECOMENDED GAMES: Zelda: A Link to the Past, The Four Swords Mario Advance Mario Bros. 3 Metroid Fusion Legacy of Goku II all Tony Hawk games Final Fantasy Tactics Draognball Z Taiketsu Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Sacred Cards all Golden Sun games
