After seeing that Electronic Gaming Monthly gave Wario Ware 9.5 out of 10(Fairly uncommon for a Game Boy Game), I decided to pick this game up. First off, know that Amazon's price is a little steep, and you can usually find this game for about 19.99$ anywhere, so if you want this game, don't worry about getting it! After giving Wario Ware a whirl, I was pleasantly surprised and grateful for getting it, as it's just what I needed for the Summer. A game that NEVER GETS OLD! Usually Summer's a bummer, but whenever I got bored, I just popped this game in and played it for hours. In other words, BUY IT! Below you will find reasons this game is so good.
PROS-
-OVER 200 MINI-GAMES- I sware, there are literally hundreds of games in one game! All of them are different, and each is fun in its own special way!
-ORIGINALITY- Wario Ware, without a doubt, is one of the most original games I've ever played, and I doubt you'll see another game even remotely like this one. For that reason, it stands out against such tired Mini-Game Video Games such as Mario Party.
-EASILY ACCESIBLE- No matter what age you are, this game is very straightforward and easy to learn. You only use the A, B, and Direction Pad buttons.
-FUN FOR ALL AGES- OK, I'm not sure if an 80 Year Old guy would like this, but Adults and Kids alike would have fun with this game, and maybe a few Senior Citizens...
-CHEAP-Unlike the price on Amazon, you can easily find this game at most Video Game Stores(Best Buy, EB Games, Circuit City) quite cheap, in the range of 15.99-19.99$. You can't miss out on this deal!
-VARIED MINI-GAMES- From Mini-Games where you Pick Someone's Nose, Brush Someone's Teeth, to shooting Basketballs, there are many different Mini-Games, and they are all different!
-ADDICTIVE "NEVER-ENDING" GAMES- Once you beat a certain amount of stages, you unlock "Never-Ending" games, which you play for High Scores. These games include "Jump Forever", "Paper Airplane", and "Skating". These games are the most addictive of the lot, and it's fun to play with your friends for High Scores.
-LITERALLY, NEVER GETS OLD!- I Have beaten this game A LONG TIME ago, yet I still play it and it seems as fresh as when I bought it. Excellent Replayability!
CONS-
-NOT REALLY A GAME....- REALLY, WARIO WARE IS JUST A BUNCH OF MINI-GAMES THAT YOU MASTER TO UNLOCK NEW ONES, SO DON'T COME IN EXPECTING A COMPLEX GAME LIKE ZELDA OR MARIO.
-NO PLOT- Really, there's no discernable plot in this entire thing, and it's painfully obvious this is a Japanese Game.
-TERRIBLE MUSIC- UGH! Please, unless you want to listen to the same annoying and grating techno music over and over and over(and over x Infinity), please turn the volume all the way down on your Game Boy.
Overall, if you're looking for a fun game to pass the time, without worrying to much about plot and mechanics, Wario Ware is for you. This is one of the funnest and most addictive games I own, and the only reason I'm giving it 4 Stars is its lack of a Plot and everything else.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! THIS GAME REALLY PASSES THE TIME WHEN YOU'RE BORED! NEVER GETS OLD, AND STAYS INTERESTING FOREVER! CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO BEAT EVERYTHING(I STILL HAVEN'T DONE IT!)!

There's only the thinnest of plots; Wario wants to make money by creating his own video games, so he gets a bunch of friends to help him. The gamer must help them through their misadventures by playing through various 3-second mini-games. These games test your reflexes and skill with some truly bizzare scenarios: cut through a piece of meat, help a power ranger-esque fighter defeat bad guys, draw a line with a crayon, pull turnips, even help a cute anime girl snort her snot back. There are over 200 of these mini-games, and scoring the required points on them will open up even more. Even though the games are short, they're entertaining and beg for you to replay them to beat your own score.
The controls are simple; Nintendo's philosphy on simplification at the expense of graphics and presentation hasn't always worked, but here everything's flawless. Controls don't get more complex than pushing the direction pad and A button. Graphics are intentionally simple, but full of style and humour. And again, the replayability adds a lot to the overall package. Like Tetris and Dr. Mario before it, Wario Ware will always entertain after other games have come and gone.
It's a rare event for me to find a game that I can't come up with at least *one* thing to gripe about. WarioWare, however, is flawless in my view. It is challenging, but not so insanely difficult that it will frustrate you to the point of hurling your $100 handheld across the room. It's wacky, it's fast-paced, and even after you've unlocked everything, it's a blast to see just how high a score you can get playing through all the games.
If you want a good outlet for your caffeine-induced bursts of energy, WarioWare is it. Hands down, one of the best games ever, for any system. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.
