Video Game Reviews of Game Boy Advance SP - PlatinumCustomer Review: To many colors! Summary: 4 StarsWell I think the gbasp is awesome ,but they keep coming out with different colors like gold, black and silver and I had a red one,but I was lucky enough to trade it in and get a black and silver,I think that they should go Ahead and just come out with all the colors and be done beacause at that time I thought that two colors were better than than one,but I like gold better than black and silver and maybe next time they`ll come out with a blue and red,but I still like it it`s fun to play with when your not doing anything

Customer Review: Here's The Honest Truth About The GameBoyAdvance SP Summary: 4 StarsFirst of all I'll list the good and the bad: Good: It's alot smaller than the original Game Boy Advance, flip design, back lit Bad: The Rechargeable battery, the buttons are harder to press, new controlls to get used to, back lit Now for my review I just got mt GBASP yesterday and I must say it's not that great but it's not that bad ether it's bitter/sweet the flip design helps make it more portable BUT, it's also easier to drop out of your pockets since it's smaller so basicley it's easier to lose. The buttons are flat and harder to push because if we have bulkie buttons like the previouis Gameboy's then the screen would get scratched up so thats a Bitter/Sweet thing there. The rechargable battery is as pointless as a needle in a haystack I mean what toy takes rechargable battery's anyways? I tryed getting the screw off and putting regular batteries in but unfortunatley I couldn't unscrew the screw. The battery WILL die on you after a long while of playing so then you ether need to buy a new GameBoy or send it to nintendo which will coast money. Plus when the rechargable battery needs to be charged again it takes like 3-4 hours and playing right next to a plug outlet is pretty boring. Plus if your somewhere like at hte mall or something you CANNOT charge anything there so you can't play your GB until you find somewhere to charge it. The Built- In light is clever but it's another Bitter-Sweet moment because it's good if your playing in the car at night or maybe even in bed nintendo always says in their manules: "Always play in a well lit room" So if you want good eyesight then you'll play in a well lit room and you won't need the light on. There's no exlusive games for it so you really don't need to buy it if there's a good game on it that your dieing to play just play it on a regular GBA. The volume control is okay it's hard to control because it's like an On/Off switch the triditional turning nob is better in the long run. (...)if this id your first gameboy go on ahead and get it But if you have the regular GBA don't bother.
Customer Review: As you get older, gameboy just doesnt cut it anymore Summary: 3 StarsI got the SP as a gift. Ive had some fun with it. It has brought me through some boring times. But there are two main problems that i would like to share with you:1) the FUN games are few and far between: youll find yourself getting some games, and either finishing them in a very short time span, or giving up on them and trading them in because they are just plain boring after the first level or so; maybe it's just because im getting older (early 20s), but games in general are not fun anymore === except for the odd one (like, Yoshi's Island, Advance Wars 2, and Zelda). Just beware...if youre an older gamer, you might not get your investment back in terms of value on both games and the system. 2) this thing is pretty delicate...if you buy it anywhere, please get an extended warranty. I dropped it once...and now my screen has a sort of double-image thing going on. Im glad im still covered by the One-year warranty of Nintendo (you must get it registered to have it), but i wish it would have held up to a single drop from about 3 feet off the ground. Whatever happened to quality?
Customer Review: Great for travelling and overseas use! Summary: 4 StarsTwo of my sons have the SP. They both have American units and we live overseas. So contrary to the review below, we have no troubles recharging them using a transformer. It is silly to expect that any electronic device would automatically come with an adaptor set for every country in the world. Does your portable shaver come with one? I doubt it. If you travel overseas that frequently, you must have a transformer and/or adaptor set -- try it, it works! The game cartridges, however, are formatted and must be purchased in the country that the GB is from. And, LOL at the zombie review. My children are far from walking zombies -- we love GBA!!!
